Safe in Sound collects as little personal information as possible, and only what you choose to give us. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to have it removed.

The newsletter

If you subscribe, we store your email address and nothing else about you — no name, and no other details. Alongside it we record the date you signed up, which page you signed up from, and your IP address and browser at that moment. Those last two exist only so we can show that you did in fact ask to hear from us, as Australian anti-spam law requires.

We ask you to confirm by clicking a link in an email before we add you to the list. Until you click it, nothing is sent to you.

We send no more than four emails a year. Every one has an unsubscribe link that works in a single click, without logging in. When you unsubscribe we keep a record that you did, so that you are not added back by mistake.

We do not sell, rent or share your email address with anybody.

The contact form

What you type into the contact form — your name, email address and message — is emailed to us so we can reply. It is not added to the newsletter list. Signing up for the newsletter and contacting us are entirely separate.

Analytics and cookies

This website uses no analytics and no tracking cookies. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not follow you to other websites.

The signup form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a form is being filled in by a person rather than a bot. It receives your IP address to make that check. It is not used to track you across websites.

Who else can see it

The website and the subscriber list are hosted by Cloudflare. Newsletter emails are delivered by Mailjet, which needs your email address in order to send to it. Both are service providers acting for us; neither is permitted to use your details for their own purposes.

Getting your details removed

To come off the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any email we have sent you — that is the quickest way, and it is immediate.

To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted entirely, get in touch through our contact form and we will sort it out.

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page. It was last updated in July 2026.
